Don't be late! Last year it sold out 20 minutes before the screening.
Here's how it works:
17 filmmakers were given the same short films, and 30 days to produce their own piece from only the footage contained in them. The footage may be manipulated in any way but no visuals stemming from any other source may be introduced.
Audio may, however come from any source, so long as it is not the property of any other entity, unless that entity has given permission for its use in writing.
Last year we had a blast. And this year looks like it might be even better. Free food from Whole Foods, free beer, free cupcakes from Dozen, and some free gifts will be raffled off from Unicorn Mountain and Encyclopedia Destructica. All proceeds minus cost and a tiny bit of compensation will be split among the screening filmmakers. Two awards will be handed out: Audience Choice (chosen by -duh! the audience, and Filmmaker's Choice (chosen by the participating filmmakers). The Filmmaker's Choice selects the source films for the next year's event. Each will also win some prizes and have their work showcased on our podcast.
Join us afterwards at Remedy (Butler St. Lawrenceville) for the afterparty with DJ's Howler Monkey, D-Bag, and Baron von Bum Lung.
